MONDAY 2PEAS BLOGGER CHALLENGE:

If you had to pick one person, that was alive right now.. who would you choose to spend an entire day with???

I would spend an entire day with my husband with NO kids.

I went to a crop for 2PEAS yesterday. It was pretty fun. There ended up being only 4 of us, but that was ok with me. I'm not one for being around a large crowd. It's really too bad they aren't planning on doing it more often. I would definitely go again. This is one of the two pages I worked on. I don't know any of the products I used. All of the textured cardstock used was bought at the LSS we were at and the patterened paper was some I brought along. Misc. button, whale of a punch flowers. I layered two different colors with a glue
dot for the flower. The journaling is all hand stamped. I love the editing on my printer that lets me print pictures with the antique look like this.

Thanks to my brother for teaching me how to use a few features in my photoshop program last night. The crop I was at was really close to his apartment so I stopped by afterwards and he showed me lots of cool stuff and burned a
few music CDs for me. He also had these reall rich, yummy chocolate (rocky road?) bars that he had made. I asked him for the recipe and ended up getting the whole cook book since he had an extra copy. This next picture is one of Logan wearing my mom's big pink hat. I turned the photo black and white and left the hat pink. He also showed me how to cut objects out of one picture and place them into another. The kids think it's pretty funny when I mess around with that now, putting them in with the pyramids or old Roman cities.

FUN FACT FRIDAY

Here are some facts you may not know about me:

1. I am a huge procrastinator! I still haven't packed for the all day crop I am supposed to be going to tomorrow!

2. I am a terrible house-keeper. I once told my mom that when I lived on my own and had my own kids, I would keep my house cleaner than hers. :-0 HAHAHA! Maybe some day when my kids move out, right?

3. I don't drink milk...unless it is chocolate, or in cereal or other food. Never plain!

4. Oh, my husband and I eloped and got married 47 days after we met, engaged after the first two weeks. I had just gotten back from a week at my church Bible Conference and went back to work (Hardee's), and he had started working there while I was gone. The line he used on me was "Is that a wedding ring?", about the ring I was wearing that I had bought myself in Texas. We now have six kids.

5. I have twin boys! When I was growing up and thinking about being a mom someday, I always thought I would want to have identical twin girls. I won't complain that I got boys instead...I just can't believe it happened at all!

6. I was a medical assistant for a medical unit in the National Guard. I went to boot camp in '95 in South Carolina and medical training in San Antonio, Texas.

2 PEAS Thursday Blogger

Complete these statements:

1. My current favorite song: I don't know, don't listen to a lot of music so I never think about it. One song I listen to over and over is (Veggie Tales) Larry's Silly Song from "Sheerluck Holms and the Golden Ruler" about the gated community. We are always trying to sing along. Although I'm sure if I had a favorite, this wouldn't be it!

2. The last book I read: Me have time to read? haha Does the grocery ad count? Well, I did read a Garfield board book to the baby the other day. ROFL!

3. What I am wearing right now: YES, I am still in my jammies! Hey, I've got four kids at home! I'm just waiting for them to go to sleep so I can get a shower.

4. The last CD I bought: Ummm...we are back to Veggie Tales again. I think the last CD I bought was Juniors BedTime Songs.

5. The last gift I bought for someone: It must have been scrapbooking stuff I gave my 6 yr old daughter for her birthday. Lots of stickers!

Yeah! I just had fun bombarding my mom's email friend, Patty, with emails of Miller Scrapbook pages! About 10 pages. From now on I'll just add her to my list to send "installments" to. My list is growing...I'm up to 4 people now! And these are 4 people that really appreciate my work. Now I just need to get busy scrapping instead of PEAing ALL THE TIME.

I did get a tiny little bit of house cleaning done today. Ethan and Evan are getting around now and Evan (I call him ScooterPie) scoots all over the place on his tummy. He is still just pulling himself , not crawling, but it's so cute and fun to watch! This means clean floors, people! These babies are getting their hands on everything in sight now! They see it--they go for it!

And Logan gave me another cute little quote to scrap today when he came to me and wanted his diaper changed. I just had to grab my camera and snap a picture for this one! I'll post that when I get it finished. Should be fun!

Kaitlynn lost her first tooth on Saturday before Easter. They were goofing around on our bed while we were all packing to go north for the weekend. Never did find the tooth yet. Never took a picture of her toothless face yet either! I'm a terrible mother, I know!

Oh, and Lonnie's brother lost a finger at work the other day! Pretty unbelievable. The index finger on his left hand. That's so horrible. It hurts to think about it. I'm afraid that I'll find myself staring at his hand way too much the next time we see them. Oh, man!

This one's for the One Hour Gallery Challenge for 2PEAS. Hmmm...do you really think it only took me an hour to put this one together....hehe. Hey, as long as I got another page finished, does it really matter how long it took? I had a really great layout in the gallery to lift, but I ended up making my own patterned paper for the circles here...used alpabet stamps. If you can't read the journaling, it says: You think you should be in first grade right now because you can make your own PB&J!
Straight from Kaitlynn herself! Well, she is the top student in her kindergarten class. She probably could do very well if she were in first grade right now.

I am waiting on sheets in the dryer so I can go to bed!

This is the first layout I have completed in several weeks. Also the first layout for the family album that I've done of either of the twins.

Lonnie had a pot luck at work today. I think this is the first one I've actually remebered to make something for. He usually tells me days ahead of time and then I forget and he forgets to remind me. I actually forgot until about 11 p.m. last night, but I made my beef and bean pot in about 20 minutes and left it in the crock pot over night. Sure wish I had some of it for lunch right now.
Evan is pulling himself forward all over the floor now. If he sees something he wants he goes after it. Ethan hasn't quite figured it out yet. They both have colds again, just in time for Easter. Why is it that any time we have somewhere to go (especially holidays), somebody gets sick? Got them dr. appointments for tomorrow afternoon. We are supposed to be leaving for Aunt Mary's house Saturday morning. We haven't seen my parent since Christmas. We used to see them at least one weekend every month, but it costs so much for gas now! I think it will cost at least $60 to get up there this weekend.
Now that we've been having warm weather, I can't keep Logan in the house. I don't know how I'm going to get anything done in the house this summer!
Mahlon was invited to a birthday party for a kid in his class on Saturday. He won't be able to go because of our easter plans. The party was just changed from their home to the Wapsi park, so I bet Mahlon will be disappointed to miss that now. He really likes the "down river", as he calls it. Who would schedule a birthday party like that on a holiday weekend anyway, if you really want people to show up?
I haven't gotten much scrapbooking done the last week. I have one started but I'm really stuck on it. The colors and papers were really hard to come up with and I'm not very happy with it. I'm thinking about taking it apart and starting over. This is the one I wanted the white sharpie for, which I don't have yet. Should get that this weekend from mom--it's an ultra fine tip so I hope it works ok.

So yesterday was April 1. My 6 year-old was going around the house all day saying these random things and then going "April Fools!" We actually didn't go shopping either, except for my trip to Walmart to get diapers and order pizza for lunch at Casey's. Just that one little trip still took me like 2 1/2 hours though. hehe. After stopping to order the pizzas and he said ready in about 15-20 min. I ran back to the Baptist church where there was a garage sale. It was so lame--I was there all of 2 minutes. Then drove over to a quality furniture consignment store to try to kill the rest of the time, but they didn't have anything to interest me either (unusual) and I wasn't there more than a couple minutes. Hubby worked on the torn-apart bedroom in the afternoon and I think he finally got all of the lathe removed from the last wall. Next step, finish insulating.

We had a storm tonight, if you could call it that. I think it mostly missed us. We were in a warning but all we got was some rain, thunder and lightning. But we were all prepared to go to the basement if we needed to.

And, above is the layout I just finished today for the Color Challenge to use red somewhere in your layout. All original. Seems like every other one I've done lately was for a scraplift challenge, so this one was really fun to come up with. I had fun making the little M&Ms in the bag on the journaling. Used a little hole punch, ran them through my Xyron 150 and stamped little "M"s on them. I thought they were so stinkin' cute!

"Hear my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication." Psalm 55:1
"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:17
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved" Psalm 55:22
